power in prayer!

Caeden and Caleb have been fighting a lot and I have been so frusturated on how to help. I want them to walk in God's love and know how important their brotherly relationship can be even at a young age. Caeden has also really been challenging the obedience thing with mom and dad. So I have started to re read an awesome book on praying God's will for your children's lives. At the end of the chapters are great Bible verses that you can pray while inserting your child's name. I have 6 that I decided to write out and put on the fridge. I have been praying them through out the day. Yesterday I thought I heard Caeden praying while he was in the bathroom. He came out and just as I suspected said, "mommy, I was praying in the bathroom. I was praying that I would be obedient to you and Daddy and that I would be kind and loving to Caleb." I could hear the angels rejoicing in the heavens with me. Thank you Lord. The last 2 days have been wonderful!! Thank you God for the power of prayer and for a son who has a heart to seek you at 4 years old!

Oh my!

Jay has had a full day today. He lead worship at our church for two services, came home for a quick bite to eat and was off to the West Valley to lead worship at another church tonight. So pretty much mama and the boys for the last 14 hours. Caleb is a MONKEY and in to everything these days. I found toothpaste in his farm, the remote minus the battery, cards all over the house, blocks inside of bags, a green bean inside of a bbq bag that had been in the trash can. He was eating the pineapple rihnd that was also in the trash can. The list goes on. So as if following him around and picking up after our belongins wasn't enough. Caleb pooped 3 times and I mean loaded his diaper and his clothes. Apparently he also left a huge pile at the carport that none of us saw and until I spotted it with a foot print in it. So naturally I looked inside and sure enough Caeden's flip flop was now making tracks through the house. So step one clean floor, step two clothes in the washing machine. Forward to tonight while I was getting the tub ready I took off Caleb's diaper and he peed all over the rug. Since he wasn't in the tub yet I decided to take it outside real quick and hose it down. I came back in and found that in those few moments he had dumped his humidifier (full of menthol liquid) all over the rug in his room. So both boys to the bath and then mommy needed to pull up that rug and get it out to also hose down before laying him down. The suds keep coming from all the menthol liquid, maybe I can make it to a coin laundry tomorrow. Oh and on a Caeden note for those of you that don't know. He broke his colar bone 2 weeks ago on Tuesday and is doing much better! We will see the Dr. tomorrow. :) Wow! What a day. I am exhausted!
I will blog about Kelsey's awesome wedding once I get pictures on my computer. I just put away my dress and curling iron today folks. It is a crazy season for team Murphy and we so appreciate all the prayers. Thank you!!!!

What a splerge!

Today is Daddy's birthday. We had plans of going out to eat tonight but Caeden has been home with a fever today. :( So, instead daddy grabbed Oregano's (his favorite) on his way home from work. Most of you would say I am pretty disciplined in my eating and drinking. And because I am in the middle of a week long colon cleanse (where you eliminate wheat, meat and all other things fun) I had intentions of eating a big salad tonight. Well, I ate almost half of an extra large pizza, 6 gold hot wings, artichoke dipped in lemon butter and then topped it off with 3 amazing homemade chocolate chip cookies and not one bite of salad. Oh my goodness!! Happy Birthday Daddy! We love you and are so grateful that you come home to the 3 of us every night! You are the best!

Walking Caleb

We spent a day at the zoo last weekend and both of our boys are animal lovers!! Caleb would point and grunt at every animal and then get a huge smile on his face. Can you believe it? He is really old enough to walk. Man!

Kelsey's Bachelorete Party

We had a very fun time! This is K, Lauren and I. Lauren and I were the ladies in charge of the 24 hours of festivities. This is us at Dave and Busters where we wore p.j.'s, matching bridal party shirts, played games and had dinner. One of the other bridesmaids Julie made truth or dare cards for Kelsey to read while we were out and it sure kept the night movin'. Kels danced on top of a chair at the table, hugged a random man, had a different guy buy her a drink, etc...
The evening women... Mom, Kacey, Kels, Julie, Lauren and me.
We had a sleep over at mom and dad's and then in the morning the girls had breakfast and did yoga. Then K treated each of us to a 30 minute facial which was amazing! Jen who is on the far right is the one to thank for all of self rejuvenation time. We love you Jen!!!
After the wonderful morning we had some more beautiful women join us for lunch, games and blessing Kelsey. Some even stayed for laying out at the pool. Good times, good times! Kelsey may you always remember the fun we had, and the love that all of us have for you! 2 weeks and counting for the WEDDING! Yeah!

Randoms from this last week

Night fighting. You will find Caeden with a gun in hand at some point every day. We must get the bad guys you know.
Caeden was in a cute little Easter Parade with his Preschool class and the church that it is at. Grandma Molly and I had a fun time watching him in the parade, climb all over the inflatable toys and go on an Easter egg hunt.
I caught them on their very own with this interaction. I was so excited I had to get the camera.
Daddy took this pic from our bedroom tonight (he is home sick with the flu. :( I loved my little dinner date. :)

1st attempt video posting...Caleb singing

I didn't know you couldn't hold the camera horizontally. I will do better next time. :) Ok, do you love the nakedness and socks? I don't even remember why we have him dressed like that while driving in the dark. Poor kid. Sorry Caleb!

Also this title says first attempt but in actuality it's MY 3rd attempt. How do all of you experts out there upload more than one at a time on the same blog? My computer has taken 45 minutes to try and do 2 on the same blog. So... I will be trying another one but if there are any suggestions I am open to hearing them. :)

Amber's wedding

You may think this is a funny picture to show of the bride and groom but I love it! They had no idea I was shooting the pic and to me it symbolized the closeness and depth they already have in their relationship. I was Amber's babysitter (she is one of the 4 Lyon girls) since she was a little one. It is so amazing to get to be a part of the in's and out's of someone's life and then to witness the beginning of a new life together as husband and wife. It was an honor to be in attendance and I pray God's greatest blessings on them!
Amber's big sister Tiffany who was the Maid of Honor. Love you Tiff!
The younger sisters.... Sierra (blonde) and Paulettte (brunette). And all 4 of them are as sweet as they are beautiful!!! The wedding was March 13th, which is also my sisters Birthday so it was fun for Jay and I to be able to celebrate with her too!
