No pictures.... but note worthy!

We are having a fun time around here! This weekend's project has been painting the family room and a few pieces of furniture. :) It always ends up being a bigger project than I foresee... moving furniture, taping everything off, and then slowing down to have our 2 little hands help us paint. :)
It is coming along and thankfully Jay has tomorrow off so that we can continue and hopefully finish!
In the meantime Caleb decided he was ready to start potty training. He and I have had a go at it a few different times with not much success. Wouldn't you know that the weekend that all is disheveled at our house he decided it was time. I am thanking God that he gave Caleb a big brother like Caeden to help him through this process. He wants big boy "dunt da dunts" (Uncle Dutch's name for underware) like Caeden, he wants to do all the steps Caeden does when going to the bathroom and will go try when Caeden suggests it. So great! So we have been rewarding Caleb and Caeden with the success. :)
I am learning peace through the storms. In my perfect visions everything has a time and a place and way that it should happen. God is opening my eyes to a new way, a better way, a more relaxed intentional way. Even today as much as I would have loved for our family room to get another coat of paint and the furniture moved back in I could tell my family and I needed a down day. One that involved each other and rest. We did just that... Church, lunch, rest, groceries (all together), dinner and then a night outside with a fire, guitars, and a drum... worshiping the Lord. It was truly wonderful. I am glad I am learning to let things go and wait on the Lord's perfect timing, even when it doesn't look like mine.
Stay tuned before and after pictures to follow. ;)

More excitement!

The boys are officially bunk buddies and roomates!! We bought, built, and stained the bunk beds this week. :) They had their first night together last night and were up for 1 hr and 20 minutes. (Here's hoping that won't last forever.) :) They are really thrilled about the new set up! And now to clearing out Caeden's old room to make a nursery for sister!! EEEEEEE.... the projects are many at the Murphy household and probably will be for the next couple of months.
Caeden enjoying his rope ladder!
And Caleb has now, 2 weeks later mastered the motorcycle we gave the boys for Christmas. It has been so fun to watch them wheelie around the back yard!
My surprise present was a visit from my dear friend Breanne who lives in Utah. We have been friends since Jr. High and I just love that our friendship keeps going even as our families grow. Thanks for coming out dear friend!!

Auntie Jillers

Right after Christmas we were blessed with a visit from Auntie Jillers all the way from Korea!!! We had a great dinner at mom and dad's with good conversations and games of course!!
We were also blessed to get to pick Auntie Jill up from the airport and have her over for a sleep over. We were able to enjoy breakfast, presents and our own fun time with her!
We all loved your visit Auntie Jill! Thanks for making the trip out!! We are already looking forward to next year!

Christmas!

We had a wonderful few days!! We were able to enjoy 2 church services, 3 different family gatherings and some time for just the 4 of us Christmas morning. In this picture you can see sister growing quite nicely in the womb. :)
Our handsome men all dressed up for Christmas Eve. :)
Caeden's class did a cute Cowboy Christmas show in the park. They had all memorized a lengthy verse out of Luke and a few songs about Jesus with hand motions. It was quite a treasured day. I loved too that both boys would sing and recite the verse through out the Christmas break, a constant reminder of our precious baby Jesus! We pray your Christmas was wonderful as well!
