Fun times!

We were able to take Hannah on her first trip to Show Low this weekend. :)
We had a fun time.... canoeing,
 swimming,
 hanging out,
  laughing,
playing in the rain,
and having time to talk.
We had a great time and Grandma and Grandpa were thrilled to have us... now that's a "win-win." :)

We've been....

Learning how to ride a skateboard,
 building legos,
learning how to sit in a bumbo,
 and a jumperoo.
We've been hosting play dates, and
 friend's birthday parties,
 and dressing up....
a lot!

This summer continues to be fabulous!! Even though it is hot here in Phoenix we are finding much to be thankful for and enjoying our time together! :)

"Staycation" day 5

Today's adventure was the ZOO!  We pet some goats....
 viewed other animals...
 climbed a bit....
complained about the heat and humidity...
and got wet at the splash pad. :)
The boys growling like animals inside their cave. :)  All in all the week was very successful!  We had a fabulous time with each other and are sad to have daddy going back to work tomorrow!  Wish me luck with the kiddos since they've been entertained every moment of every day this past week. :)  I'll need a lot of energy and some creative ideas, lol!

"Staycation" Day 4

I love vacation time.  No lunches to pack, no places to rush off too, full of cuddles and chats... it's the best!
The boys were fascinated by the fish and animals at..... The Rainforest Cafe.
We enjoyed our lunch at the Rainforest Cafe!  We got to sit right by large elephants that moved, fish swimming and sights and sounds galore.  The boys loved the thunderstorm that went off every 20 minutes too!  Caeden said multiple times what a great time he was having. :)
After lunch, walking and shopping at Arizona Mills we all took a quick nap.  Oh how I love naps!
Jay is off this weekend from leading worship so we decided to go to the new Gateway Scottsdale Church in downtown Scottsdale tonight for church.  It was fun to check out and the area surounding where they meet was gorgeous.  The kids played and we even saw a guy propose....she said yes. :)

Enjoying our staycation and sending a whole lot of LOVE from our home to yours!

"Staycation" day 3

We started our day at the gym and then met our friends the Riccios at their pool for a little swimming.  Even Hannah was quite content in the pool today. :)  It was fun to spend some time with her early in the day because Grandma and Grandpa came to stay with Hannah while we took the boys out all alone tonight.  (Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!)
  Enchanted Island... here we come.
Caeden and I loving the parachute ride.
The boys favorite.. the dragon wagon.
Flying helicopters, planes, and riding a choo choo train, the boys loved their day.
The boys enjoyed cooling off too!
Yay for a great day 3 of staycation!

"Staycation" Day 2

We started the morning nice and slow with lots of cuddling, and a trip to the library mid day for free movie rentals. :)
The big activity of the day was bowling!  How cute are these kiddos in their bowling shoes?
Caeden loved the bowling, Caleb loved the snacks. :)
First game... mommy was the winner with 124 points.  Game two daddy was the winner with 133 points and Caeden did beat mommy the 2nd game (with a bumper) and was quite proud. :)
Even though Hannah couldn't bowl she sure smiled as she watched all of us :)
Topped the night off with some backyard swimming!

"Staycation" Day 1

Happy 4th of July!!!  We had originally thought we'd spend this week with our dear friends in California.  However, the more we thought about Hannah being so little, not sleeping through the night and no idea what a 6 hour road trip would be like we decided to do a "staycation" this year.  We are thrilled to have daddy off of work for 5 days to spend time with us. :)  This mornings weather was such a treat, like we were in CA anyway.  Overcast, a little rain and 75 degrees, thank you Jesus.  So believe it or not we started the morning (in Phoenix, in July) with a lovely walk and bike ride.  (Caeden did have a great time, this is just his cool dude pose I think. ;))

Hannah loving an opportunity to watch the world cozied up to daddy.  Who wouldn't like that?
We spent early afternoon through the evening at my parents house with both sets of families together.  We had a good time swimming, playing volleyball, eating and chatting.  Fun times!!
Tonight we came home, put Hannah to bed and the 4 of us climbed the ladder to the top of our roof to watch fireworks.  Blankets, snacks, drinks... it was a great time.  My parents did the same with us growing up and carrying on the tradition almost brought tears to my eyes.
The boys LOVED it.  They were so giddy the whole time we were on the roof.  Caleb came to me at one point and said, "this was the best idea ever, thanks mom, I love you!"  Oh, what a heart warmer!  Caeden couldn't get over the idea that he was seriously on his roof!  He's not sure if his friends will even believe him. :)  It was fun to be able to let Hannah get sleep and spend quality time with the boys! We finished off our fun day with sparklers in the backyard (thank you Grandma Molly!)  Stay tuned to day 2 of Murphy Staycation ;)
